The
aim of UK UNSIGNED is to promote and develop unsigned and unknown
artists. In 1999 we created, devised & produced UK UNSIGNED
to support our objectives, with showcases across the length and
breadth of the country.
We now
have over 20 categories including: |

- Age Groups: Categories are Under 12’s, 13 – 19, 20 –

To
encourage originality, we now have the SINGER/SONGWRITERS’ category
Past season’s successes are;
Slough heat winners, girl group FYA are now signed to Def Jam UK
Natalie Grace won 1st prize in the National UK Songwriters’
Guild Contest
Past contestant, Katie Melua, now has a No1 selling album &
major UK tour
Last year’s singer/songwriter winners Fundamental now set to sign
with a major label

We
were a part of the Prince’s Trust Urban Music Festival featuring
Jay Z and Alicia Keys on May 8th/9th 2004.

We
are a part of the Mayor of London’s annual Respect Festival
in Victoria Park.

At
our Hackney Empire Grand Finals in July 2004, we sold out the
1200 seater venue and became the first UK Talent Show to feature
a current major overseas act with ATL from Atlanta, USA
No other talent quest encompasses
so many categories, and has so many opportunities to provide a platform
for the best in UK Unsigned talent. Our mission statement is to
discover new talent, give them the opportunity to showcase their
skills and help them develop to be all they can be.
